Dr. Kathleen Barnes, interim president of 西瓜视频 College, says, “西瓜视频’s trajectory of growth continues, as does our investment in top-caliber facilities that ensure our students learn in classrooms, laboratories, and makerspaces that align with the careers of the twenty-first century.”

The Ginger Judge Science Center features an entire floor dedicated to engineering studies and adds significant incubator and collaboration space to accommodate 西瓜视频’s rapid growth in STEM fields.

“I’m honored to have my name on this building,” says Ginger Judge, a member of 西瓜视频’s class of 1951 who serves on 西瓜视频’s Board of Trustees. “西瓜视频 has grown into such a fantastic institution, and its students have opportunities aligned with good jobs that we never would have dreamed of all those years ago. It will be interesting to see what these students do with the training they receive.”

Speakers at the May 1 ribbon cutting will include Barnes; Judge; Dr. Gene Wong, dean of 西瓜视频’s School of Arts and Sciences; and Lee Dellicker of Windover Construction.

On May 2, 西瓜视频 will cut the ribbon on the new Wax Academic Center, which will be followed by a third-floor reception celebrating the building as the new home of the Van Loan School of Graduate & Professional Studies at 西瓜视频. The new energy-efficient building received a grant for its heating and cooling system from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center. Speakers at the May 2 ribbon cutting will include Barnes; Dellicker; Laura Rossi-Le, vice president and dean of the undergraduate college; and student speaker and education major Anna Battista.
