Hospitality Management: Hotel & Resort Management
-
Program Overview
Coursework in lodging and resort operations, food and beverage management, revenue management, hospitality accounting, hotel and resort design, hospitality marketing, and hospitality law are some of the concepts that will prepare students for a career as a hotel or resort general manager.
Skills and knowledge gained in the classroom are applied directly during internships and practicums with consistent real world experience also gained in Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ’s non-traditional classrooms, La Chanterelle fine dining restaurant, and the 91-room Wylie Inn and Conference Center. Studying abroad rounds out the hotel & resort management concentration, benefiting students with a cultural fluency and ability to adapt to changing situations that are required skills to succeed in the global hospitality industry.
Internships in hotels and resorts introduce students to the exciting dimensions of the hospitality industry as well as the mindset successful leaders need in order to motivate and empower their employees. Hotel & resort management students will discover their passions, bolster career confidence and develop a marketable skill while creating a professional network that will serve them well after graduation. They will have opportunities to intern at internationally renowned sites such as The Four Seasons, the Boston Harbor Hotel, the Langham Boston, the Cotton House Hotel London, Marriott International, and Hilton Worldwide. -
