Studio Art Intermedia Digital Media and Mixed Media Concentration

  • Program Overview

If you are interested in crossing the boundaries between the traditional arts and digital media, consider the intermedia concentration in studio art.

The intermedia concentration will help you develop a powerful blend of skills in various media while developing a personal voice. You will gain a broad range of conceptual tools with which to approach diverse media and processes in an integrated manner. The program fosters inquiry and experimentation into different media, such as painting, installation, video art, earthworks, assemblage/mixed media, digital printmaking, experimental processes in photography, and digital painting.

Through the program you will develop a personal body of work that can be used for application to graduate school or to gain employment in a variety of art-related fields such as curator, arts administrator in a museum or arts council, gallery owner, educator, or professional artist.
