How do I know which students in my class are utilizing the Testing Center?
You are sent Letters of Accommodation for traditional undergraduate students by our office at the start of each semester. However, graduate students and those within the Van Loan program send their letters independently to their professors at their own discretion. It is the student's responsibility to schedule the test at our testing center within 48 hours notice. When students request a testing appointment at the testing center, you will receive an email from xtimetest@endicott.edu confirming their appointment and requesting the testing information for the desired exam via the .

What are the Testing Center policies?
The Testing Center is committed to ensuring all students’ accommodations are met in an environment in which test integrity is paramount. We expect students to follow the same policies that you have in your classroom. When filling out the , please share information pertaining to the policies you enforce. Our form asks about bathroom breaks, approved materials for student use such as calculators or scrap paper, and leaves an open response question for you to share any additional information we would need to know to administer the exam.
Our policies that remain in place regardless of what faculty share on the form, include:
- Only students with approved testing accommodations taking an 西瓜视频 exam can use the Testing Center.
- Students must request a testing appointment 48 business hours prior to their exam.
- Appointments are typically scheduled for the same date and time as the class exam, with the exception of schedule conflicts.
- Faculty will be emailed the appointment date and time and can notify our office if there is an issue with the appointment.
- Students are expected to adhere to the Academic Integrity Policy.
- CAS staff check students’ approved materials before they start their exam.
- No phones/smart watches/earbuds are allowed in the testing room.
- The Testing Center provides active proctoring of all exams with video and audio.

What accommodations are available to students at the Testing Center?
Most students using the Testing Center have been approved for extended time on tests. Typically, this is time and a half, but some students are approved for double time. This information is stated in the Letter of Accommodation. Other possible accommodations include use of computer, text-to-speech, and speech-to-text. Our center provides the technology for these accommodations.

How can I give my students extended time on their exam within Canvas?
To give students extended time within a Classic Canvas test or quiz, follow the steps below:
- Publish the Canvas Test or Quiz.
- Click into the Published Test or Quiz.
- Click “Moderate This Quiz” on the right hand side of the screen.
- Select the student requiring Extended Time by checking the box to the left of their name.
- Click on the Pencil Icon to the far right of the student’s name.
- In the pop up box under “Extra time on every attempt”, type in the additional amount of minutes the student qualifies for. If you are unsure of this amount, please refer to their LOA or email xtimetest@endicott.edu for clarification.
- Click “Save”.

To give students extended time within a New Quiz on Canvas follow the steps below:
- Publish the Canvas Test or Quiz.
- Click into the Published Test or Quiz.
- Click “Build”.
- Click “Moderate”.
- Go to the student's name that is requiring Extended Time.
- Click on the Pencil Icon to the far right of the student’s name.
- Under “Assessment Settings” click “Time Adjustments”.
- Then click “Give Additional Time”.
- Use the Hour and Minute drop down menus to add in the additional amount of minutes the student qualifies for. If you are unsure of this amount, please refer to their LOA or email xtimetest@endicott.edu for clarification.
- Click “Apply”.

To let a student take a Classic Canvas test or quiz at a separate time or on a separate date than the class, follow the steps below:
- Open the Canvas Test or Quiz.
- Click “Edit”.
- In the “Details” tab scroll down to the “Assign” section.
- Click “+Add” at the bottom of the screen.
- Choose the student’s name.
- Enter the date and time they will complete the exam.

What happens if a student in my class cheats during their testing appointment?
- The professor is notified of the incident from our staff.
- The professor decides what they would like to do moving forward (give zero on exam, retake exam, etc).
- The professor emails the involved student notifying them that they are aware of the academic integrity violation and shares what they believe the appropriate sanction is with the student.
- Professors need to provide students 48 business hours to reply to their email and the corresponding sanction. If the professor does not hear from the student within 48 hours or the student agrees with the sanction, the professor can move forward with the decision.
- If the student does not agree with the violation or sanction, the professor will need to involve the Academic Integrity Committee to review the incident. In this case, the professor would complete the Academic Integrity Report Form.

Where do I pick up exams my students took in the Testing Center?
You can pick up any paper copies of exams that were taken within our Testing Center at our Testing Desk on the 2nd floor of Halle Library from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. If the exam was taken within Canvas or another online platform, there is no need to pick anything up. If you would like the paper copy of the exam and/or students’ scrap paper scanned to you via email, that is an option you can select when filling out the . This form will be sent to you when a student requests to take one of your exams in the Testing Center.

What are my responsibilities when one of my students is testing within the Testing Center?
You should be available during the exam appointment via email or phone to answer any questions that may arise.

What is the expected turnaround time for submitting Exam information to the Testing Center?
For an exam or quiz during the regular semester, the Testing Center appreciates receiving all exam information within 24 hours of the test. For final exams during Finals Week, the Testing Center prefers to receive all exam information within one week of the exam. This allows our staff the time needed to process the large number of requests, schedule any necessary proctors, and prepare all exams promptly for each final exam period.
